The Prophets

25 prophets are named in the Quran - one unbroken chain carrying one message. Tap a name to read the story, brief or complete.

Why does the Quran keep telling stories? It says so itself:

لَقَدْ كَانَ فِي قَصَصِهِمْ عِبْرَةٌ لِّأُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ

Laqad kana fi qasasihim 'ibratun li-ulil-albab

"In their stories there is certainly a lesson for people of understanding."

Quran 12:111

These are not bedtime tales. Each prophet faced a version of what we face - pride, loss, temptation, injustice, waiting - and showed the way through. Every story below comes in two sizes: a brief you can read over coffee, and the complete picture with every turn of the plot. Read them in order, and watch one message travel from the first man to the final Messenger ﷺ.
