The twelve months
إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِندَ اللَّهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ
Inna 'iddatash-shuhuri 'indallahi ithna 'ashara shahran fi kitabillahi yawma khalaqas-samawati wal-arda minha arba'atun hurum
"Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve months in the register of Allah from the day He created the heavens and the earth - of them, four are sacred."
Quran 9:36The four sacred months: Dhul-Qa'dah, Dhul-Hijjah, Muharram and Rajab. Wrongdoing weighs heavier in them, and good deeds shine brighter.
