The Quran does not only tell you about prophets. It stops, more than once, to tell you about ordinary people, and it says plainly why:

نَّحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ نَبَأَهُم بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ فِتْيَةٌ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ وَزِدْنَٰهُمْ هُدًۭى

Nahnu naqussu 'alayka naba'ahum bil-haqq. Innahum fityatun amanu bi-Rabbihim wa zidnahum huda.

"We relate to you their story in truth. They were youths who believed in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance."

Quran 18:13

Nobody in this module received revelation. They were young men who walked out of a city, a king with more power than he needed, two brothers who tried to cheat the poor out of one harvest, a woman married to the worst man alive. That is the point. These are people in the same situations you are in, and the Quran preserved what they chose.

Each story comes in two sizes, the same as the prophets: a brief you can read over coffee, and the complete account chapter by chapter.

Where each story comes from. Ten of the twelve are in the Quran itself, and the reference sits at the bottom of every page. Two are not. Those two carry a note at the top of the story saying exactly where the report comes from and how strong it is, so you always know what you are reading before you read it. They are marked below too.
